Privacy Policy
Current Version: 1.1.0 (GDPR Compliant)
The OnlyTechTake application (hereinafter the "App") is designed to operate entirely on your device. This policy describes how we handle your privacy, based on a core principle: your data belongs to you and never leaves your device without your explicit manual command.
1. Local Data Processing
The App does not use a central server or a cloud database managed by the developers. All information entered in the App, including:
- Customer records and contacts
- Technical details on repairs
- Photographs and video attachments (CameraX)
- Digital customer signatures
is stored exclusively in an encrypted database (SQLCipher) within your Android device's private storage.
2. Security and Encryption
To ensure maximum protection of your customers' sensitive data, OnlyTechTake implements database-level encryption. Access to data is protected by operator credentials (Admin or Operator) created during initial setup. It is the user's responsibility to maintain the physical security of the device and use secure unlock systems (PIN, Biometrics).
3. Required Permissions
The App requires the following permissions to function correctly:
- Camera & Microphone: Necessary for visually documenting and recording audio for the condition of incoming devices.
- Storage / Media: Used exclusively for saving and retrieving repair-related files in private storage.
- Internet: The App does not require internet access for core functionality. Network access may only be used for license checks via Google Play Services.
4. Data Sharing with Third Parties
OnlyTechTake does not automatically transmit, sell, or share data with third parties. Sharing only occurs at your explicit initiative through:
- Manual sending of PDFs via WhatsApp or messaging apps.
- Manual export of Excel files (XLSX).
- Creation of encrypted ZIP backups for manual transfer.
5. Data Controller
Under the GDPR, the Data Controller for end-customer data is the professional user of the App (the workshop or technician). The App developer has no access to the entered data and does not act as a data processor.
